iTunes always "verifying iphone" ...

Hello,
since I installed the last version of iTunes (8.1), most of the times that I connect my iphone, it displays "verifying iPhone" and does that for 1 to 2 minutes. Only after that can i sync the phone..

Does anyone else have this problem and/or a solution?

My iPhone is not jailbreaked or otherwise tampered with...
