I have used a TomTom for about 3 years but when I went to upgrade the maps it was going to cost me over $100.00 and I was told that the new software would probably not work on my TomTom 910. So I opted to just get a new device or software for my phone. The TomTom software seems unjustifiably expensive for the iPhone. So I am looking at CoPilot Live.
I assume that "Text to Speech" means that it speaks the hiway and street names. It says "Text to Speech voice instructions are optionally available in certain regions", does that mean text to speech does not work all over the US ?
I guess that "optional Live traffic service" means that it is an extra charge ?
Does "CoPilot OnDemand" mean that the application maps are incomplete ?
I would guess that the application stays on all of the time that you are driving. I have a cig-lighter plug and phone cord that will keep the iPhone on charge. I would need some kind of iPhone holder.
I am interested in your comments.
