If you use Sony accessories with iPhone ...

So I own two Sony items which are compatible with iPhone 3G.

One is a Sony CD Boombox with iPod dock (Sony ZS-S2IP) another is a Sony Alarm Clock with iPhone dock (sony ICF-ClipMK2). Both of these had worked with my iPhone 3G. When plugging the iPhone onto the dock it got the inevitable "this accessory is not made to work with iPhone..." warning message, but THEY DID WORK nonetheless. Remote control, charging ability, playing music over the speakers, they fully worked.

NOW, after (very stupidly) upgrading to 3.1 firmware - NEITHER WORK. No charging, nothing. I get the "no compatible message" but they don't work.

So be warned, do not upgrade to 3.1 if you own these devices and still want them to work with an iPhone 3G.

Thanks Apple for not letting us downgrade back to 3.01
