Here's the deal. A few weeks ago I got my IBM Thinkpad and my External HD stolen. I'm switching over to Apple and my new Macbook Pro should be here very soon. My 3G iPhone has all my important contacts, the remaining music files that weren't stolen, and some very important pictures I don't want to lose. I was hoping someone here could explain to me what I need to do to preserve everything. I know that if I plug my iPhone into my new Macbook Pro everything will be erased.
What software do I need to get? I'm not looking to pay for a file transfer software since I am only planning on using it once. I just really really don't want to lose all my 300 contacts and my pictures/music since I have no backup of them.
Thank you for your help.
