The other day I installed 3.1. The following day I hooked up my phone to my PC via the USB, like I always have and it wouldnt read my phone - Nothing - I plugged it into a different PC and it did fine. I then plugged in other devices to the USSB ports and they worked fine.
I then proceeded to do a system restore (for my whole PC) and picked a point before the 3.1 update. After all was finished, I hooked up iPhone and it was fine. I then uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes (an earlier version). Hooked up phone and it was fine. iTunes wanted to update but I did not do it. I come in today and same problem. My USB will not pick up my iPhone. I am going to do another system restore.
When I picked a point of restore I noticed on the 16th I had to installs:
Install: Device Driver Package and Install: Apple Inc., USB Controllers.
I am assuming this is what is messing things up for me but now I am clueless on where to go from here - I can not system restore my computer daily.
This is crazy. Is there someone at Apple that can be notified about this issue.
I am sorry but this is so crazy - i see all the problems people have after updates and wonder *** are they doing?
