After upgrading to the 3.0 firmware, my phone has begun to freeze up frequently. It can happen at any given moment, doing any random thing. The phone will just stop responding to touch and scroll commands, as well as all of the buttons, including home. After a few seconds the command, such as choosing a web link, or trying to scroll, for instance, will jerk into place and go on about it's normal business.
I just found out that 3GS users are having this exact same problem. To use the words frustrating and irrittating would too kind. I've had one issue after another with my, what is now 6 or seven different phones, but this latest firmware takes the cake. This freezing issue is one of many with this firmware, for both 3g, and the 3gs, but I have to say it is the most annoying.
From what I read, a restore does nothing to fix this.
I have these words echoing in my brain all the time now with intense regret.
"Hello.... I am a P.C.... Hello... I am a MAC"
Will there ever be a time when I can actually enjoy my purchase without all the hassle? Would anyone care to chime in on this particular issue?
