Significant issues with 3.1.2 - I ...

Updated to 3.1.2 earlier this week - and I suddenly have all sorts of issues.

1) battery drain is significant - my phone dies at night if not left in the cradle (this never happened before). I need to charge the phone every few hours now, on average, 2x per day - wow, again, this never happened before.

2) The phone is unbelievably S...L...O...W... it runs as fast now as molasses. Examples: a) To accept a phone call, it takes 2 - 4 seconds before the phone responds to Accept (if I do not pick up on the first ring and accept, I cannot answer in time), b) change from phone to mail, response time is between 5 to 10 seconds (before, there was no hesitation) c) search, now takes sometimes over 25 seconds!!! - previously, the maximum time was about 3-5 seconds. d) typing - how about 5 seconds per letter - totally frustrating? e) Map - 5 to 10 minutes to locate AND the phone freezes - so you cannot answer a call or change applications. Its not necessarily the time that bothers me, its the complete locking of the phone. f) type in my password to access the phone, hesitation of 3 to 6 seconds, and typing takes about 1 second per numeral for the passcode. This was never a problem before.

Anyways, you get the idea, everything is slow.

My phone has always been very reliable - this is the first time that I have had any issues. No recent updates to applications that I sometimes use, like FRING or Truphone. Weather eye now takes about 20 - 45 seconds to load, either through the 3GS network or on my office WiFi. Previously, it would take between 5 to 10 seconds.

Anyone else having these issues? Suggestions? Time to roll back perhaps?

Regards to everyone,
Stu
